I sold my last pair of cherry blossom earrings at a show, and I wanted to update them a little this time around. Now with v-shaped hooks. They hang a tiny bit longer, and I think they look a little more sophisticated.
I'm mostly self-taught. There are a lot of good web sites that can teach you the basics. Every time I want to learn how to do something specific, I just do a google search. A lot of jewelry supply shops have tutorials and list the supplies you need. Here are a couple of those: [link] and [link]
I also bought a few jewelry making kits in the very beginning. They're nice because they come with everything you need to learn basic techniques, and then you can carry those techniques over to new and original pieces.
